Mission, values and agreements
Traditional Media Is Dying Slowly. I can count on one hand the sources I truly trust right now. That’s why I decided to create an independent blog to discuss Brazil in a real, unfiltered way—offering valuable insights for investors, entrepreneurs, politicians, and anyone looking to explore the opportunities here.
Just to be clear: I am a true enthusiast of Brazil.
My name is Rodrigo Dantas.
I am a former co-founder of a Brazilian fintech, which was sold to LWSA3 in 2021.
For 10 years, I ran this company (Vindi), raising capital, managing around 500 employees, winning and losing key deals, and meeting extraordinary people—including two Brazilian presidents. I also wrote a book about the membership economy.
Before that, I spent eight years as an executive at Itaú.
I also helped co-found the fintech ContaSimples and the media platform Startups.com.br and have invested in more than 10 successful Brazilian startups. In the meantime, I co-created the pioneering podcast Like a Boss with a friend, which quickly became an important channel for conversations with Brazilian entrepreneurs and investors.
Sabbatical (2022-2025), Family, Coffee farm and Spotify
After selling my company, I decided to dedicate more time to my family and focus on investing—mainly in technology (of course), agriculture (we bought a coffee farm), and real estate.
Somehow, in 2024, I ended up composing guitar tracks and publishing them on Spotify under the name DNTSZ..
Now, after two years, I’m back in the market, dedicating myself to participating in company boards, advising investment funds, and writing more.
Why The Next Brazil exists?
I’ve often been invited to speak with foreign entrepreneurs and investors about Brazil. Every time, I’ve tried to provide real insights into how to make money here or how to build businesses successfully in the country.
This project—partially funded by readers—is a shortcut for people with a genuine interest in Brazil. My only promise is to be straight to the point in discussing technology, the economy, politics, and more.
Somehow, this could be fun.
